Bully Stopper Campaign

Educate, Entertain & Inspire

What's Bullying?

Bullying is aggressive behavior that is intentional and that involves an imbalance of power or strength. Often, it is repeated over time. Bullying can take many forms, such as hitting, kicking, shoving (physical bullying), teasing or name-calling(verbal bullying), intimidation through gestures or social exclusion (nonverbal bullying or emotional bullying), and sending insulting messages by text messaging or email (cyberbullying).

`Who Does Bullying Effect?

Bullying effects can and will effect anyone that experiences and witnesses the act. At 70% of students/children have witnessed bullying. Even though they aren't being bullied directly, they still get effected mentally and emotionally.

The DayDreamer Plan

Our proposal at Promising DayDreamers is to attempt an adverse approach to bullying itself. Our plan is to create a safe haven for the bullied where we promote positivity, self-love, self-confidence and self-esteem boosting. A large percentage of kids receive bullying as a one way street without anyone providing any positive words of encouragement. Everyone needs to hear that they are special, worthy and beautiful in a world that tries to convince them they aren't. We are going to break down the act of bullying to the very ones being bullied so they may be more prepared to face it. Who says words don't hurt?

The Challenge

Bullying is one of the most common obstacles the young people faces in this day in age. With the rise in social media usage and constant increase in fashion and materialistic standard; It has become much harder for the youth without wealthy parents or other advantages to keep up which makes them vulnerable for bullying. Bullying has the power to send young people down a path destined for suicide, failure, or prison if they don't have a positive influence to fight against the adversity with them. Time has evolved from a time where bullying was mostly, if not completely, physical to where it can be done on almost a 24/7 basis. Building a program solid enough to soften the effects that bullying has on young people later in life is going to be the best chance to help the victims. The key is having someone in their corners that can relate and empathize with their journey into adulthood.
